Alder Camera Monitoring Now Available Inside Alder Mobile App

Alder has launched its updated mobile app. Download and login instructions As part of this launch, and to give our customers the best possible user experience, we have added camera integration capabilities to the Alder app. Our updated Alder app will include:

• Integrated camera surveillance features and settings so you can check and adjust your security footage within the Alder app

• 24 hours of free cloud storage for security footage (not currently offered by Yi)

• Affordable rolling 30-day cloud storage

Alder will no longer support the Yi app. Though the Yi app will still function correctly, we strongly suggest that our customers discontinue using the Yi app and add their security cameras to the Alder app instead.

To set up your security cameras with the Alder app, you will need to first download the updates to your app.  Once your app is installed and updated, you can visit our instructional article to learn how to add your camera(s) to the Alder app. When you have finished adding your cameras to the Alder app, you can remove your Yi app and close your Yi account. 

These added capabilities will enable our customers to stay protected and connected to home through a single, streamlined mobile app. The updates to the Alder app are part of a wider initiative at Alder to provide our customers and their families with safety and security whether they are home or away.
